Downloading Java SDK for beginner

    Hi All,

I want to have a look at Java programming, I think the netbeans IDE may be the best option for a beginner but under downloads on the Sun page there are tonnes of Java options (SE, EE, FX, ME).

Theres a download which bundles SE with the Netbeans IDE, is this one good enough or am I missing out on any major features of the other ones?

    Thanks for any help
    gR

Just download the Java SE 1.6 SDK, and a copy of Eclipse for Java developers from www.eclipse.org and join the flock :)

Netbeans SE will be good enough for a beginner.
