    Hi,

    What's your favourite style book?

I want to get my friend a book as a birthday present, she's 30, loves fashion and makeup.

I've 30 Euro to spend (unfortunately she's not a fan of Gok)

    Any suggestions appreciated

    Thanks

The girls on Beaut.ie have brought out a beauty book. I bought it as a present for a friend of mine and it's a really nice one. It's available on the gill & macmillan website. Think it's not in the shops until mid October. I paid about 17e for it. Also, have you tried the Trinny & Susannah books?

Kevyn Aucoin does great make up books, he was a make up artist: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Face-Forward-Kevyn-Aucoin/dp/0316287059/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1254689831&sr=8-1

The Beauty Bible book covers loads of products: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Century-Beauty-Bible-Sarah-Stacey/dp/1856267016/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1254689880&sr=1-2

Bobbi Brown does good books too and I'd also recommend 'War Paint' which is a biography style book which covers the history of the beauty industry through two early moguls, Elizabeth Arden and Helena Rubenstein. The same author also does a really interesting one on the history of Selfridges dept store and shopping in general.

Cool - going to check Easons for the Beaut.ie book (birthday next week), thinking it might be on the shelves early - if not will get the beauty bible.

both look great I plan to have a sneaky read before I pass it on

    and

I'll then have enough change for a style book - thanks girls
