    Hi all,

I am pulling my hair with this.

I have a 2g iphone that i want to unlock and activate. I have unlocked using redsn0w but after the reboot it requires activating. When i plug into itunes it says "The SIM card inserted in this iphone does not appear to be supported". When i put in a O2 sim it wanted to do a online activation.

Does anyone know what steps to take to get it back to a working state? It has v3 on it at the moment.

    Thanks

Doesn't sound like you are following the directions correctly.

I unlocked my 2g iPhone in a matter of minutes, also on version 3.0. So perhaps have a look over the details on iClarified and double-check everything you are doing.

    Hi,

I have done it in minutes in the past however im not sure whats going on.
The only thing i did differently is that i erased all contents and setting from the reset options on the phone because im planning to sell it. I did not think id have these issues.
