Just noticed that BT2 are now doing Bare Minerals Make Up in the 9g sizes with sifter click top containers. Up to recently only 3g size was available here in Ireland.

Most importantly the 9g size is 25 euro only 2euro more expensive than the 3g size 23 euro previously available....

So if you use this product there is no need to purchase on line to get larger size at realistic price.

This is a big wow to me as I love the range and cannot live without the stuff! :D

My sister uses this stuff, it looks great on her. I'm not sure if they sell it in Galway's BT (not BT2) so I don't know if I can get it.

hey i was thinking about trying the bare minerals make up, cos I've heard good things about it! was just wondering whats the coverage like, because I've quite bad acne? the fact its powdery makes me think it cant have great coverage?

Brown Thomas in Galway has bare minerals now. One of the girls at that counter called Catriona was particularly helpful when I was getting some of their stuff. I think it's great, but still a bit cheaper to buy online. But difficult to know if you're getting the real thing!

It actually has surprisingly good coverage, and the best thing about it re: problem skin is that instead of using concealer, you just use a concealer brush to build up more coverage of the foundation over blemishes. I used to never be able to find concealer in my skin tone, so it's great that not only is it not chalky and cakey and irritating over spots, it actually matches the foundation because it is the foundation.

The coverage can be totally varied to suit your needs. This is achieved by using different brushes. The Bare Minerals brushes are very good. I also like to use MAC brushes specifically designed for mineral makeup. I have dry somewhat irritable skin and my friend has acne prone skin and this make up is good for both of us. It is absolutely not chalky because it contains no talc.

Thanks Nesbitt - that's great to know.

I wear the Bare Minerals during the day and Mac Studio Fix when I'm going out, set with Smashbox Mineral powder.

Would it not be a bit drying though?

ooh all this stuff is meeting my hopes and dreams for mineral make up!
I've heard it stays on really well too, can anyone confirm/deny?

No not drying at all because it contains no talc.

I have been using this type of makeup over a year now and would never go back to liquid/cream makeup.

Eyes Lips Face do lovely mineral make-up.

I can't speak for the foundation/blusher only the eyeshadows. I have the "Celebrity" and "Earthy" colours and the look so lovely when on. They don't crease and last for ages. They also feel really light on, almost as if your not wearing any eyeshadow.

I stocked up on bare minerals when in US. I could never ever wear foundation again - id feel like it was clogging my skin. The Bare Minerals is so easy to apply and stays on your face. Can't recommend it enough, and it doesn't leave your skin like a blank canvas, it gives a nice tone and glow.
