    I want to send a mail to class lists for bs3/bsi4/af3/af4 to sell my books. I've sent mail to bs3@list.dcu.ie and it keeps failing.

    What addresses should I be using?

    I would've assumed you had to send the e-mail to someone (class rep, a lecturer?) who has the authority to forward mass e-mails otherwise it could be abused.

    Yeah, I don't think undergrads can use the class list mails anymore. Unless they're a class rep. I think it was because everyone kept getting spammed with some classes stupid online survey assignments about 2 years ago. And also, everyone kept replying to the class list rather than individual people.

    do it from your dcu e-mail account

    i know i was able to send to a list last year

    I sent a mass email to CS2 looking for a second hand book about a week ago, worked for me

    CS1 can send mass emails too, so it's still possible

    You're using the right addresses - it just HAS to be from your DCU account where you send it.

    Yup. All DCU mailings lists only accept email from members of that list. ie. your official class email myname1@dcu.ie
