If i do get the Ps3 Slim ?

Hello,

Thinking of trading in my old 60gb ps3 towards a new ps3 slim,for a few reasons : need a bigger HDD,new warranty,new controller etc etc.....

But the only problem is,what if i mess up and my save data wont be put onto the slim,and then my old 60gb is gone aswell (to the shop).

Is there any game shops that will do the switching of save data,downloaded games etc for you ?

And whats the best place to trade in an old ps3 with everything,would rather to keep the controlers though

I think gamestop do it but check first, i havent traded any consoles in.

PS i would never trade a 60 gb PS3 its the best one on the market, you could buy a bigger Hard drive and controller and prob pay to get it fixed on the off chance it breaks in the next year for less than the cost of upgrading to a slim.

For what you loose swapping to a slim, it cant play PS2 games has 2 less USB ports, Hard drive cant be split and have Linux installed.

Tbh,when i got the ps3 i though great,ps2 games will still work,but i havent even played 1 ps2 game on it,and never will....

And the usb ports is ok aswell,as with rock band you get this thing that makes 4 ports out of 2

And heard about Linux,again,doesnt really bother me too much

Fair enough they arent things i use often myself but i have both a 60gb and a slim and i cant think of any reason to pay that much to upgrade to a slim. Gamestop will prob only give you around 100 euro for a 60gb ps3 so you have to pay 200 euro for nothing really.

I only paid €80 to upgrade from a 60GB to an 80GB Phat a day or so before the slim was released. They want all peripherals that came with the console originally, including controllers, Cables etc.

just sell it yourself on adverts 4 as much as u can but check what u can get on a trade in first, and then dont sell 4 less than that

so you paid 80 euro for 20gb's and an extra years warranty

Yep. It had already been for repair once, I didn't use the BC, the other 2 ports or the card reader, so it made sense to me. Plus I got inFamous for free.
