I'm looking to get a standalone VOIP Phone, one that does not require the PC.

    What I'm looking for:
    Cordless
If possible not tied to one company (Works with VOIP Buster, Skype, and others)
    Nice and cheap

    Any suggestions?

the Siemens Gigaset series are good and cordless. They are nice for residential use but are not up to the job for business use (too slow, too few options and only one line)

I would suggest you would be better off with an ATA and a dect phone of your choice for SIP VOIP.

Maybe another ATA connected to your PC via USB and the two in series to have both types of calls through the one handset.

Trying to select a hanset to mix Skype and SIP in one is not an easy task.

Have a look here ....... be aware that most Skype phones need a PC running .....

Use a Nokia 'E' series phone with software from Fring. You can pick up a Nokia E61 cheaply, install Fring software, it then allows you to make SIP/Skype/Google etc calls.

You can take phone with you and use anywhere you have access to WiFi. Its a real neat solution.

I use a grandstream ATA bought for €10 on Ebay, connected to it is a cordless DECT phone, works perfectly

You could buy a 2 or 3 station cordless DECT phone, this would allow u to make Voip calls from any of the 2 or 3 phones in the house
