Is it now time to bring back benchmaking. The unions were on and on about it when private sector wages were higher than the public Sector and the unfairness of it etc so now that its gone greatly the otherway surely they cant argue with public sector pay being brought down to match by way of benchmarking.

The original benchmarking was a joke, determined to give rises to sectors with strong unions whether they deserved or not. A new benchmarking is appropriate, but not another stunt designed to make cuts regardless of the facts.

Yea and we should bring back capital punishment for all those Public Servants who don't take at least a 60% cut in wages.
