HDMI question

    My friend just bought a new house and asked me to hang his tv on the wall so while doing this i ran two HDMI cables behind the wall. Now he has got NTL digital in and there is no HDMI output on the digi-box, just a dirty big scart lead hanging from the tv down to the digi-box. Is there any adaptor which could allow the HDMI to plug into the scart output and get rid of the loose, ugly scart and save me having to cut holes in the finished wall to hide the scart.
    Any help welcomed....
