I had an unhappy experience with this dealer recently. Has anybody else bought from Dermot Hughes Cars?

Whatever the issue was, have you discussed it with the dealer principal or failing them, Toyota before you came on here complaining?

I received a formal letter of apology from the dealer principal. And, with all due respects, I have not come on here complaining but merely seeking the experience of others favourable or otherwise.

Its a bit mean to be coming on here mentioning them in connection with "a bad experience" after having had an apology from them.

An apology may not have rectified the problem. It may not have been an admission either. I would like to hear the whole story tho.

Hi Dermot, thanks for coming on. Seeing as this is an oldish thread and the user that started it hasn't logged in for over 2 months I wouldn't hold out too much hope of receiving an answer to your question.

As said above, unfair bad mouthing when you appear to have gotten a resolution. Every business can make a mistake. It's how it's dealt with that's important.
Dealt with Dermot for the first time this year found him to be straight and very obliging.

I bought a car just today of Dermot Hughes and I'd easily say it was the best car buying experience I've ever had.

I phoned up yesterday asking about two cars, the lady on the desk took my number and told me someone would call back, with most garages that doesn't happen. Within two minutes Dermot called me up to chat through the two cars.

I called down today and was made feel most welcome, though the cars weren't expensive but still I was treated fantastically and worked away at the tea facilities. He even has a Playstation so people won't get bored if they have to wait. Dermot himself is the most straight talking and easy to get along with dealer I've ever come across. I have friends of my family that have been buying their car from him for years.

That was my first experience with Dermot and Ciaran, I have no doubt I'll be back to buy another car down the line.

That fellow that started the post, what are you doing by coming on here and making a random statement which you have not backed up with any evidence, and you have stated has been resolved? It would appear to me that you are either in competition with him or like to complain.

In fairness what evidence do we have from you either except your post? For all we know you could be Dermot Hughes or one of his employees counter acting bad PR.
