Doing things on Impulse

After a few months of pondering because of finanical implications, I decided earlier to screw it all and buy myself a ticket to South America for a while, an on the spot decision at the time. I bought the ticket, and was totally shocked at myself afterwards by doing it, but sure ya only live once! Anyways, looking forward to it now!

So fellow After Hours folks, what things have you done on impulse that genuinely surprise you?

Saw this thread earlier but skipped over it because it looked boring. Just logged in again and clicked it without even thinking. Just a warning. It doesn't always pay to do things on impulse.

Yeah all the time, and the story usually starts with. "I was Pissed there the other night....."

And Ends with, "I wish I didn't do it/go off with her, now everyone will know, I hate myself"

Doing thing's on impulse can be fun and all, but as I learned they can come with a price and/or consequence's.

Would you rather live a safe comfortable life where none of your actions are crass enough to have consequences?

No vas a la america del sur. Es muy peligroso y los nativos comen tu pene por cena. Irlanda es mucho mejor. Solamente tenemos Mary Harney. Ella solo come tu culo.

Impulse shopping is like an addiction on people. Although I wouldn't say i've done anything as crazy as buying a ticket to South America. I've bought things in the past that I think back to only NOW and say why did I buy that? Most of which are music albums because i'm just so into music, but some of the albums i've bought were from bands i never even heard of until I bought them. I tell myself I was really just trying experiment and try them out but I know that I could have just checked them out on youtube when i got home and then decided to buy them later, but it was a spore of the moment thing and I just went with my gut. I also bought a book that I thought i'd like but I opened the first page a while ago and I haven't read it since. I'm not good with money:(

Fairplay to ya anyway. I have one or two of those kind of places that Ive always wanted to just put life on hold for for awhile and just go. Cant see it happening in the near future though. No money being the biggest of a number of problems!
Id prefer to just have the savings / loan to go somewhere for 6/8 weeks and just live. The working holiday doesnt appeal to me. Id love to just go from town to town every 3/4 days, see the sights and move on. Bliss

Pretty much everything I do is on impulse. I don't really have plans or goals, I take each day as it comes and I do what I want when I want.

Keeps life interesting, to say the very least.. never know where I'll end up tomorrow, nevermind next week, month, or year.

Went to the UK on impulse-- bought a one-way plane ticket for 150 dollars and was in the UK within a week, spent six months there. Didn't even have plans for a place to stay or anything. Ireland was kind of the same, decided I wanted to go and a month later was here. Next will probably be Germany or Sweden or the Netherlands, haven't really decided yet.

Learned German on impulse, just decided one day I wanted to learn it, so I did.

I end up in some pretty screwed up scenarios because of it though. I could write a book on my life already and I'm only 22. :pac:

Then write about them and get your Blog off the ground, then you might make money so you can actually survive through these (mis)adventures.

I totally approve of Impulse though, it takes balls just just up and go.

I keep forgetting I even have a blog.. I never really know when I have a chance to update it.

Suppose it'd be a good idea but I'm horrible at committing. :p

Do not go to South America. It is very dangerous and the natives eat your penis for dinner. Ireland is much better. We only have Mary Harney. She only eats your ass.

You need to apprend the native language before visiting the region.

I do a lot of things on impulse. I went to a debs with a complete stranger who asked me the day before. I was nervous as hell on the bus in and the walk to her house but after five minutes with her and her family I began to relax and had one of the best nights of my life :p But I can honestly say walking into her sitting room and being confronted with thirty people of which none I knew was fairly nervewrecking :pac:

I got pissed a few months back and seen the letter I had for my online credit union so decided to apply for a loan of 3800 and they approved it. I changed it to 2000 though a few days later cos I needed around 900 but wanted 2000 for the laugh.

    Apprend = Learn.
I should go to south america, will alway know when they plan on eating my penis. Always useful to know.
