The Great Audley Debate

God this guy brings out some emotions in me. His reception at Prizefighter showed peoples opinion, which in general could be summed up as - not positive.

Some people think he is a dick that needs to shut his mouth and achieve something.

Is the dislike because of the hugfest's he always seems to be involved in?

Personally I am angry with the guy - angry because has all the tangible assests to be one of the best fighters in the world - EVER! I mean that. But its the intangible assets that he often seems to be devoid of - where is the desire, the heart, the ferocity. If a ratfaced chip on the shoulder mug like me had the physical attributes that the Fraudster possess then ever kid is the playground would want to be bringing spare nappies!

But I am also angry with with for pretty much blowing boxing on terrestrial TV for all boxers - and fight fans.

Well done on winning Prizefighter but I doubt it will change much!

oh jeekers - after reading this I just have to shake my head!!!

    Fraudley you are a dick!!

I suppose the lack of support that Bruno and Benn got in Britain is because of racism as well!

He freezes in the ring, and boxing is the last sport that you can do that in. Too tentative. Long periods of inaction during a fight. Also he is nearly 38.

He is compared physically to Lennox Lewis, but Lewis had it upstairs in his brain as well.

A huge waste of a career.

I couldnt be bothered reading the article. Harrison is a joke, the guy needs to eat some humble pie, listening to him you would think he was Ali.

He is garbage to watch he fights scared and will never win a world title.
Fair play to him for winning the prize fighter, but that tournament is made for him.

Afer danny Williams being beaten and the large posibility that Haye will be beaten, A-force may get some lime light for simply being the last man standing in British HW boxing

I think Audely Harrison has the power to ko any fighter on the planet right now but his style of fighting prevents him from doing so.

The only thing that has changed since prize fighter is that he is now in a position to call for a meaningful fight again.

Haven't seen much of Chisora so I'll be honest and say I dont know. my point was that he is the most recognised name in british HW boxing at the moment and he may well get a higher profile fight due that.
I reckon Danny Williams needs Audley more than Audley needs him at present

Lots of guys have KO power. Fraudley is afraid to fight unfortunately for the guy he is going nowhere fast.

Thats true. A lot of guys do have power but he has world class power, but he wont engage or cant seem to get the shots in. If You put Lennox, tyson, holy, foreman.. anyone in coleman barrets boots when Audely hit him they would have been sparked as well.

Its just a pity he hasnt adapted to the pros as well as expected. Maybe the olympics suited him better as he could hit and move?

I think he is as well to establish himself at British level now or take on a few guys to get him a nice ebu ranking as that title is vacant I think?

I doubt very much that the shot that did Coleman in would have budged a peak Tyson
or Foreman or Holyfield. I don't see how you can say that. Now, the KO that Audley suffered vs. Sprott, that was a shot that would have tested many men.

Agreed, that was right on the kisser. Frauldey has power but nothing special. In fact that sums him up as a fighter.

Couldnt disagree more, everybody knows fraudley will **** his pants the minute he is put into a meaningful fight and his history of stinking places out will mean nobody will want to touch him and he will have to take a mandatory of the english belt.

Look forward to big john mcdermott mauling his way to the english title some time in the future and sending the big pudding away again.

How about the third knockdown Lewis scored against Grant ?

    Splat.
