I have always loved the Olympics and hope to take full advantage of the fact they are in London. Initially I wanted Chicago to get the Olympics as I have great memories of visiting and living in that city.

However after seeing the party scenes in RDJ and having a think about it I have had a rethink. I think its great that the Olympics is visiting a new continent bringing the vitality, good feeling and monetary gains to another part of the world.

What a place to visit as well. I am sure there will be people that will say they dont have the facilities etc similar to the World Cup in South Africa but lets judge it after the event.

Id be interested to hear others views on this and apologies if already posted mods I couldnt find.

The World Cup in 2014 will give us a fair idea of how they will cope.

Am personally gutted that it didn't go to Madrid.

Yeah I know what you are saying there Kinaldo. Its a great city Madrid and would be on our doorstep. Have to think though with the votes and Madrid being landlocked it never stood a chance. Chicago at least has Lake Michigan for some of the events. Geography I think was one of the major reasons cited.
