Ipod trouble

Have an old 30g model that's finally given up on me. I can run it from itunes but that's hardly convenient! At first I thought it was the headphones that was causing the problem (as they have been problematic before) but it's actually the headphone jack that seems to be the issue.

I can only hear out on one headphone and sometimes two (if I move the ipod in a certain direction etc).

How do I go about getting this fixed?

    Thanks.

    Have you tried alternative headphones?

Yep, tried three different sets. Forgot to state that in the opening post.

I had same problem, left channel wasn't coming through.
So I went looking for a device that plugs into the charger end and has a headphone jack.

    Got this: http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.26505
    Cheap as too.

    Works fine now!

Excellent, must try that. Can I pick that up on the cheap in the city?

I'd say you'd have to scour around to find it in a shop.

Won't find it cheaper than that site either. Free shipping and all. May take a couple of weeks to get to you though.

    Fuse is right.

If you were in a big hurry you could give this a try,(a little pricier though..!).
But you do get radio as well.
