It shouldn't be too late, just pm anyone from the list and pay your 2 euro when you go along to their next meeting.

Should be a society list there too, I haven't a clue about soccer though but they'll probably email you the details soon.

They used to train around 5 on Mondays. Just go along or pop into the development dude in the sports center.

Yeh good point actually. About a million people (fact!) sign up so they try and dwindle it down to make a team. However, If you had joined Rugby they have a teams for all standards :D. But seriously just pop into the development dude, he has an office in the sports center in the corridor, his name is Barry.

Tryouts for first years were at 2 the day after clubs day on the astro but just show up to the pitch on monday at 5 and let them know your new... am a postgrad and didnt realise it was a first year tryout and these lads are all over 6" and over 12 stone... will be no joke making that team. i was just looking to play but not seriously a couple times a week. will head along on monday just to see if they have a team for smokers.

I played on the Freshers and Seniors teams in first year and second year.

Like all other clubs at the start there is a lot of people in them but after a few weeks the numbers drop dramatically like I remember playing in games where we could only get 11 players or 9 in one case and had to find players but that was only a once off and it was on the freshers team.

So just turn up for training on Monday or when ever it is and you wont be the only person who didnt go to the trials.

When I was in second year there was a match Freshers V.s. Seniors to decide who went to intervarsities and a 1st year scored the winner for the Seniors which I thought was a bit ironic.

Seniors always seem to have around 15 players at every game but come intervarsities the number jumps up with all players mates joining training which is very annoying because in my time with the soccer team the players started ahead of me because they were mates with the manager even though they werent a better player then me but times has since changed.

Dont play any more as it took up too much time and it showed on my results but I would definitely go back if there was a reserve team.

I made a lot of friends though it and I loved every bit of it so would definitely just show up at training.

fuk it why not, smoker or not! the top players will make the first team and go to the gym after or run a few more laps, the reserve team can have a few pints and a laugh.

    monday at 5 it is.

show up and get chatting to a few of the lads and there will be a few there that will be looking to get a bit of 5 a side going. i went to the tryouts after clubs day but didnt play when i realised it was for first years but got chatting to some lads that were in the same boat and we were all just looking for a friendly game and we are going back on monday, just show up and id say there will be a few who will arrange a game amongst ourselves during the week.
