    Folks,

If running a cable from the consumer unit in a basement type garage to a fused outlet what is the best of running the cable ? The roof of the garage consists of precast concrete slabs and there are no roof timbers. I assume the correct method is to run the cable in pvc conduit which is secured to the top of the block wall near the ceiling ?

    Best regards, P.

well SWA cable would be better IMO. Depending on the lenght of the run a 2.5.sq.mm cable will supply a 13 Amp spur no problem. The cable can be clipped with the correct SWA clips. So long as drilling a 5.5mm hole for the clips wont drive the insurance people or structural engineer nuts.
