Can someone explain to me why there is no exit polling today?

Because an early exit pool might influence the result. I assume there will be some poll results later tonight or tomorrow morning.

Well only RTE would do it and for them its not worth the money. The result should be clear by noon tomorrow. The means the poll is only useful from 10pm tonight until around 10am tomorrow morning.

The Late Late show will not be interupted for a Prime Time special so realistically it would only be broadcast very late tonight and early tomorrow morning.

Thats what I thought but then why is there ever exit polling? Surely its always an influence?

This is the first vote I remember where there is none although I more than likely just never noticed this before.
