Our bass player (female), is getting a new bass, but wants a pink one! She wants the mark Hoppus sig fender, but cant get it in the pink ;) They have 4 models on thomann, but not the desired colour. We tried ebay as well with no joy. Any ideas where we might source one? new or second hand it doesnt really matter.

    This what she wants:

Before somebody asks, she doesnt want a pink hello kitty bass :)

    Thanks,
    Frank

AFAIK, the pink one is as rare as hens teeth. I think Fender only made a limited amount in pink, but dont call me on it.

There's a very straight blue one on Adverts, with a convo about the pink model. Take a look at it.

You could always ask thomann or Xmusic if they could order one for you....

It's discontinued. The only option is used or maybe buying another colour one and getting it refinished.

yea, she is thinking of getting one and getting it painted pink. There were only 400 pink ones ever made, and they were a lighter shade of pink, as seen here, the ones mark used were darker as seen here

If it was painted the darker pink, never know, might appreciate in value, as far as I know, the darker one was only made for mark hoppus. Some big Blink 182 would love it! I dont care as long as she gets it regardless of colour, its better than the current bass!

I have the pink one, and love it to bits!
Yeah there were only about 400 or so done in this colour from the factory.
Was on ebay.com the night before last and someone was selling one they had re-done in Mark's 'Hot Pink' gorgeous bass it was!
Still, the shell pink one I have is great. He has one in this colour that he uses live, but he custom painted a light blue and yellow tartan pattern over it.

I waited YEARS to get one-and if its the bass she really wants, patience will pay off. Keep ur eyes on the Bay my friend!
    Cheers

Get a guitar repair expert to strip the guitar down and spray it pink. You can even pick the exact shade of pink...which I believe is vitally important. Be careful though, the amps and drumkit may not colour co-ordinate and they may end up in the paintshop too.
