Heya, Currently trying to get out of where i'm living, as the situation isn't the best. Thing is, I'm an unemployed 18 year old and I'm in my last year of School (doing my LC in june). From my look into the matter, I'm not entitled to JB or JA. So is there ANYTHING I can do?

I think the best place to start would be the Child Protection and Social Work Services.

Even though you're over 18, you are still a dependent child in full time education so they may be able to help.

hmm... I don't see how they could help to be honest, it's not a case of me needing protection, or not recieving adequate care, it's just a case of me not being happy with the situation I'm in, and wanting to leave. Anything else you can suggest?

If you're not being abused and you're just not happy, you may just be stuck there.

Haha, ya, that's the way it looks :P

Is there definitely nothing to the best of your knowledge I can do?

But thanks anyway for your contribution! :) I appreciate it.

    I'm afraid so.

Do as well as you possibly can on the leaving cert, get a good result and away you go to college. It may mean nothing to you now, but looking back it won't seem the eternity it does now.
