Looking to start a band along the lines of American Football, the one up downstairs, this town needs guns , pele, el ten eleven, Karate, the promise ring, algernon cadwallader, street smart cyclist, braid, daniel striped tiger, sharks keep moving, minus the bear, hot club de paris, foals.

Not crazy timing all over the place but something different i guess. Wouldnt mind trying to put some ambient, (IDM?) kinda stuff into it either, like arctic hospital, boards of canada, ochre etc, to make strange noises and such so if somebody messes around with synths or keyboards thatd be awesome too

I play drums and i have somebody to play bass already.
Could use the jazz room in goldsmith for practice, or i rent another practice space with my other band that we could use too guess.

PM me on here if you're interested, cheers.

I'm vaguely disappointed that the thread title mentions "math, post rock buzz" but the post itself doesn't mention 65daysofstatic.

Needed a thread title that stood out, instead of just writing guitarist wanted.

DUAMS might be able to put you in touch with someone.

I am of no use whatsoever, but those are some excellent bands you mentioned. Ever heard adebisi shank or "and so I watch you from afar"? I'm guessing they're kinda along the lines of what you're thinking of too.

Shove up a notice in Walton's, on the Arts Block noticeboard and wherever DUAMS live.

If you like the song Broken Social Scene - Pacific Theme, join my band! That song is our only inspiration. I play guitar/trombone and there's also a guitarist and a clarinetist. We need a drummer/bassist before we start jamming.

Not really along the lines of adebisi shank, the bass wouldnt be like that whole lightning bolt death from above sound really.

Absolutely love that band, not really the sound we'd be going for though unfortunately. If you're into any of the bands i listed gimme a pm if u think u mite be up for jamming, some of the ones i listed moiht have slight resemblence to broken social scene in parts.

    Somewhere between this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JU2cwKRhAmo
    and this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Wn9PRYeiCo

i guess is waht we'll be doing
