My buddy bought the above and it has 80k miles on it. I looked up as many reviews I could find and they are pretty positive regarding reliability & fuel economy.
What's the servicing costs like (especially timing belt changes)? Could not find any info relating to service costs/parts after ages surfing today.

Is there anything to look out for with this model? (Typical faults if any).

    cheers!

I think thats a Merc engine so its got a timing chain IIRC. I had a Musso a few years ago, the only faults I had were related to build quality. Facia plastics cracking, switches disappearing into their housings. The front anti torsion bars had a nasty habit of breaking away from the chassis. Make sure the 4x4 system is 100%, if in doubt walk away.

Its a licenced by Mercedes engine. Its still says Made in Korea on it. Good on Diesel. Our fleet has a couple of them. Bags of torque, but the clutch is a bit soft.

thanks. Handy to have a timing chain. Pity more engines weren't designed with them.

Better yet gear driven cam, ala Toyota LC. There is a timing belt but it only drives the fuel pump. I changed the belt last weekend ,took me 40mins including a cup of tea.
