Hi there, Since it seems that mostly TY students do it, I'm posting here.
I'm 24 and I got a brochure today about gaisce awards and I'm really interested. I just picked up the brochure to read on my way home and it seems it's a great experience, pitty that I didn't do this when I did my TY... what did I do for the whole year???
Anyway I went to the gaisce website and they say they need a PAL leader form. What is this and how do I get this?? I don't know anyone else who's doing this so I need your help guys!
    Cheers!

A PAL is someone who has received the gold medal and has become a gaisce leader. The PAL is needed to confirm you have undertook such and such activities. I honestly dont know how else you would get it other than dropping in to your old school and asking for the PAL to help you.

Its now or never for you to do the gaisce as you are 24 and 25 is the latest at which you can do the award so If this is something you would like to do DO IT and find out more. It may be something you will regret not doing later.

You are right saying you should have done this in TY as youve really got your work cut out for you if you are going for gold.

    Good luck with it

BTW the PAL has a form which you need to send away with something like €5 and the PALs signature is required + you need the progress sheet.
