Trying to think of the name an English band from the early 90s...

    They were out around the time Pearl Jam burst on the scene. They were in Metal Hammer / Kerrang as I remember interviews with them.
    They were really popular for a while. I think the lead singer played piano as well, had blonde hair.
    They had a double barrelled name, The ____ _____

    It's doing my head in trying to recall them. I can't even remember any songs but can picture the band.

    not the wildhearts or the quireboys....

    Lead singer was Tyla.

    nope, no luck. It's doing my head in!!! I can see the album cover and all. They had a load of hits for a few years around 92/93/94. Video with the guy playing piano I think....f**k!!!!!:mad:

    nope. they weren't as "rawk" as those bands, kind of grungy brit rock type..not the wonderstuff.
    i wasn't even a fan, the bloody name is doing my head in...

    In hindsight, you're right Nibbs. I never realised how terrible they were until I went through some of their vids there on youtube....f**king hell....all that bother...

    There was a fair bit of hype about them in the early days, but like a lot of other English bands of the time, you either liked them or you couldn't stand them......

    At the time I think I preferred Skin (though I don't know why)......

    Saw 'em live back in the day, pretty good show
    The singer joined Fastway a couple of years ago.
    I beleive another member founded a school of Rock type thing in Brighton
