looking at changing my tyres . getting quoted 75e for tyres for knuma ( i think) and 140e per tyre for continentals . just wondering is there much of a difference between the tyres in terms of wear and performance or is it just a case of branding. I presume the cheaper brand is just as safe..

is 140e very expensive for a tyre?

    What size tyre is it?

There can be huge differences in how a car drives depending on how good the tyres are.

    Depends on the size too.
I have found a big difference between a lot of brands. And for the record I have always found continentals to be the best (on standard wheels, non low profile)

    Hi,
What is best in relation to tyres.....wear time, grip in wet, etc etc.....

I ask as I got four new tyres on my focus 2 years ago. They were about 45 euro each, (at the time they were the "mid range price" there were some at 30 and some around 60)Kazuma or some such brand. They dont appear to be wearing too much, around 15K miles on them and I've had no issues.
I do notice on wet/damp, smooth surfaces that the car may slide a small bit but I've noticed this under hard breaking on other tyres and cars as well (not on standard road, just car parks etc)
