These new Madbull Black Python Crawler barrels - anyone know about them - seem like a good solution for using a "standard" setup and reducing the velocity to the Irish limit via the barrel - or maybe taming a warm gun - any thoughts ??

I use Python 6.03 in my guns with good results, just wondering about these ones & what they actually do.

while i havent seen one , i'd imagine from the descriptions available , that these work on a friction system. Unfortunately any kind of resistance will over time be worn down (for example hop rubbers).to be honest , having seen most if not all downgrade options knocking around , the replaced (not cut) spring will always be my method of choice.

the system works by beading off the air as the bb travels down the barrel
tbh i do not see why you would do it, downgrade the spring increase your rof by doing it and take strain of the gearbox

Thanks Puding, that looks a better method.
The crawler might be handy for a quick fix maybe.
    cheers man.

I agree with Puding, when you factor in the time and cost of buying and installing the barrel your end up better off just downgrading via spring. :)
