Dell Warranty - do they need the hard drive

    I'm sending my hard drive backs to dell to get it fixed.

    I want some stuff on my hard drive, would the warranty be void if I go them to pick it up without the hard drive. I'd ring them but I need my service tag which I do not have at the moment

    I don't understand. How can they fix the HDD if you give them the PC without the HDD?

    that "go" should be "get"

    I've data on there that might get wiped etc.

    Might need to back it up by getting one of those external things that you plug your hd into
