Well I guess we all have a good story to tell on this front so I will get the wheels in motion.
Personally for me it was getting the bus into the city on the day of the Dublin V Kerry game.
Proudly displaying my Kerry jersey I sat alone amongst up to 40 blue jerseys as the bus filled up.
Three middle-aged ladies came onto the bus looking for seats. As I got up to offer a seat I said to them. 'Do you see this jersey? If there was two other people on this bus wearing one of these you would all have a seat'
Red faced Dubs rushed to their feet.
I knew it was going to be a good day!

A painter here at work was away for the AI final (football) and only arrived back the friday after. When she saw me in the canteen she came over and said "I can't believe you have the neck to come into work after the hiding Kerry got from Cork last week". It seems the lads in her section told her Cork won handy and she never bothered to check. I got a fair bit of mileage out of that one.

Me and a friend of mine having a fairly heated debate before the Munster final whether John Mullane could replicate his performances against Limerick, or whether the Tipp defence would have the better of him.

He was so confident they'd have him in their pocket that he predicted he might even finish the day scoreless. Literally 30 seconds after the ball was thrown in Mullane skins his marker and slots over a point from the sideline. He ended up with 1-5 for the day and my friend hasn't been allowed to make any more predictions since :)
