I have asked this before and the question was kind of ignored by students (this worried me:p)
I just thought i would make my own thread to get the answer once and for all.. What is it like?

I have heard good things about the pav?
What about going clubbing in the city?
It is easy enough to make friends in 1st year? (most of my friends are going to UCC and UL:(

I have also heard horror stories of lads going in as farmers and coming out wearing dubes:rolleyes:

But i would love a BESS from Trinity (i plan to live in the UK or US, so i thought this would be well respected, hopefully TCD will ring a bell:pac:)
Beer isn't everything to me, but the social side is an important part of College IMO:cool:

    thanks!

Being in the city centre, there's plenty of stuff going on as regards nightlife in Trinity. The Ents Officer runs fairly cheap nights 5 days a week targetted specifically at Trinity students (which you receive weekly email updates about), and in addition to that there are always flyers and posters around the Arts Block and Hamilton advertising student nights in various nightclubs around town. The Pav is undergoing refurbishment and extension at the moment, but is still serving alcohol, and will be back and better than ever before Christmas. As well as ents and the Pav, there are society receptions with socials and free 'refreshments' as well as a chance to get involved and all that.

I don't really understand the rest of your post, but hopefully that covers all your queries on Trinity nightlife. It's a university - of course there are things going on, and frequently. Just get out there if you're interested and you'll soon learn the ropes.

EDIT: Yes, it is easy to make friends so don't worry your head about that. Also, dubes are fairly gross but everyone has different taste and that's just my opinion so wear what you like!
