Anybody know if it's possible to drive from the Ennis Road dual carriageway down to the river? I was thinking out around Portdrine or thereabouts. When the Condell Road swings away from the river at Clonmacken that seems to be the last place where the river can be accessed easily. I know you could walk the bank from there but it would be a hell of a hike. Tried Google maps etc but can't see anything that looks like a road. Even at Coonagh the road stops at the rugby ground. Is it all private land beyond there?
    Thanks.

It is possible to drive along amud/gravel track to river at Portdrine. It should be clear on Google maps. Follow the tarmac road until it becomes gravel.
