    Hi,

in the UK and US the 3D release is a double bill of the first two TOY STORY movies.

the times on the Cineworld site suggest they are only showing one movie.

anyone know if this is correct?

    cheers

Pretty certain Toy Story 2 won't be released here till after the new year.

Hmmm, average movie purely made to cash in on the 3D fad, or one of the greatest movies ever made, not just animated movies at that, in 3D? no brainer

Its not very good, and most of the sequences revolve around seeing it in 3D, loses all its effect in 2D, like Final Destination

then did you consider that while writing the scenes they may have thought they'd look good in 3D hence the reason why the approached it with that in mind - I don't see how you can say they were "cashing in on a fad" and yet suggest that TOY STORY is the one to go for when clearly that is Disney's intention (with Pixar thankfully in total control of the addition of the 3D so it is subtle by all accounts)

might I ask, though, why you watched MEATBALLS twice, if you didn't like it the first time?

Toy story 1 in 3D was release this week
Toy Story 2 in 3D will be released before Christmas
Toy Story 3 in 3D will be release in April/May of next year

Toy story 3 will be the only one specifically made for 3D so there will be a few specific 3D scenes and effects in there.

The other 2 just look fantastic on the big screen, and the 3D adds a little but not a lot, gives it a little bit more depth.

I was at the preview screening on Saturday morning and thought it looked great

Oh I got all excited there for a moment :( Can't believe I have to wait soooo long for the new one.

Still...it will be good to see 1 and 2 on the big screen again!

I presume Toy Story 3 will also be shown in normal 2D screens like Up was/is?

    It better be anyway!

Any idea why it isn't a double feature like it is in the States? I know four hours might be a lot for kids to sit through, but you could also run it as two screenings (with an interval between them), so parents and kids can pick-and-chose and those of us who want to check everything out can have a four-hour marathon.

I thought the appeal was originally getting two movies for the price of one ticket?

both movies are 81 and 92 minutes respectively so it wouldnt be a huge undertaking to screen them both together, have a fe mins interval between then, hell I'd go see a double feature, there arent enough of them these days where cinemas just want to cram as many showings of a movie into one day as possible
