New prices and equipment for 2010 Audi model range in Ireland
    - Average retail price reduction of 9.8%
    - Enrichment of standard specification across the range including Audi modular efficiency technology
    - High value Sport and SE packages with upgraded equipment
    - Audi A5 Sportback in Dealerships starting October 15th.

"At Audi we offer superior technology and stunning design that holds its value well over its lifetime, our new model line up adds more value than ever before" said Fintan Knight, Brand Director of Audi Ireland.

Audi modular efficiency technology has been extended significantly in the 2010 model range, traditional Audi technology such as aerodynamics, lightweight chassis technology, direct injection TDI and FSI engine technology has been expanded by brake recuperation technology, the stop start system and 7 speed S-tronic transmission.

The synthesis of these technologies results in exceptional efficiency and low running costs as a result of the CO2 based vehicle tax scheme. The new Audi A3 1.6TDI for example achieves 109 g CO2 and qualifies for road tax of €104 annually as does the mainstay of Audi’s model range the A4 2.0TDI which emits only 119g of CO2. Compared to the MY2007 A4 1.9TDI the road tax burden has been reduced by over €500 per year annually or -83%.

“At Audi we are particularly proud to have achieved a significant improvement in efficiency with no compromise to a sporty and fun driving experience, there has never been a better time to upgrade.” said Fintan Knight.

New prices and equipment are available in almost all models across the range for customer orders starting October 1st, including the intriguing new A5 Sportback which is available for test drive at Audi dealers from October 15th.

Wonder will Mercedes and BMW follow suit? Interested to see what price BMW will pitch the 320d Effecient Dyanmics at now.

All A4's produced from now on will have split folding seats and servotronic steering as standard (wonder if there is an option for non servotronic?).
