    does anyone know what the cameras are at newlands cross heading towards naas.they are right after the lights opposite the green isle hotel. then they occur again just before that "apple" garage at rathcoole.
    they have 3 cameras each and each camera points at a seperate lane each.
    they remind me of the averaging system cameras in england.

    what are they ?????????????????????????

    Think they are just plan old traffic cameras, i think they watch the volume of traffic and also can be used when there has been a crime to see if the vehical used came that way. Maybe...

    there anpr cameras dublin county is littered with them, not sure wat the data collected is actually being used for though!

    I think they are just collecting traffic volume stats using radar or possibly ultrasound (ie not ANPR) ?
