Yeh last frame was really long and full of great safety and snookers, sometimes its nice for a long tactical frame when your watching two players who are so deadly in and around the balls.

They are just doing a recap and in every match Williams shakes hands with his left, everyone is surprised and kinda embarrassed.

    Anyone know why?

He injured his right hand/wrist not too long ago and it obviously hasn't healed completely yet. The commentators mentioned during one of the matches that he was still performing some small wrist exercises on it during the match itself.

I guess he's just being overly cautious about shaking hands with opponents in case any further damage is done. Not too likely, but better safe than sorry.

It did look really weird, I was wondering what was the reason too. Thanks for the explanation.

Ding looks set to lose this. Robertson impressive.

Fair Play Neil. Was never a massive fan, but I'm defo a convert after the last 48 hours.

Good last few days of the tournament, must be said...

Hendry in particular was like WTF!? when they went to shake hands at the beginning of their match.

I'm pleased for Robertson tonight. I've always liked him, great attacking player though the second session was a bit of a let down overall. Ding was very poor by his standards, but he has struggled for form over the previous two seasons so not entirely unexpected.

Next tournament is the UK Champs which doesn't start until 5th Dec. Having only 6 ranking events this season (not inc. the Masters + Premier League) is a disappointing situation. The players must get depressed at the thought of having to wait another month and a half before getting back to competitive action, especially those (like Mark Selby for example) who've had a bad start to the season.
