Pattaya??

Anyone know what pattaya in thailand is like? Is it safe etc??

Pattya has probably the largest concentration of girlie bars in thailand. It is a really vibrant place and i found it really intriguing, but i only stayed there two nights and i was with my partner and a group of friends.

there are some nice hotels and a great water park, but the vice is not for the feint hearted. Watching some fat 50 year old german cavorting with two 18 year old thai girls is not to everyone's taste.

Worth seeing if you are travelling i think but not sure i would want to go there for a two week break.

Apparantly there are some great golf courses in the area and i believe a lot of people go there just for the golf as well.

I suppose they tell the folk at home they are gone for the golf anyway!

You even see people wearing their golf glove around during the day so that the tan lines add authenticity!

Im going with another girl and were goin for 3 wks!! But were goin to train in the kickboxing camps. Its just the evenings that Im kinda worried about like what you were sayin about the older men thing etc. Dont fancy them coming near us!

3 weeks in Pattaya - you'll be head wrecked, nice place to see for a few days !!

whats even worse is 50 yr old German men converting with Thai boys !!

Thanks! I think iv heard enough it all sounds bad!! Im kinda freaked now! :eek: Will just have to stay in at night.

There are several nice bars there and some very good restaurants. The girlie bars are obvious, i kid you not when i say they look like meat markets.

The hotels around Pattya are very nice, I can't remember the name of the first one I stayed in, but it was about three miles outside town and was very good, i think it was a crowne Plaza or something.

I will try and find out the name of the restaurant we went to, it was very good and had Thai dancers and musicians. I think the further away from the main strip you go the nicer the place gets. If you ask around, you will be pointed to the right places and you won't be hassled by anyone, because there plenty of brasses around to keep the pervs amused.

Thanks feelin slightin better now! Hopefully all wil go well and we will definitly be stayin away from all girlie bars. That would be great if you can getname of nice restuarants etc any infoat all is greatly appreciated.

the streets with the sort of places Freds' talking about are easy to spot and easy to avoid.

Pattaya's not the classiest place on earth, but it does manage to attract a sh*tload of tourists who aren't there for the sex trade.

Be as careful as you would be at home & you'll be grand. Sunburnt white girls aren't what most of the pervs are looking for anyway!
