    Is there any races on in the west of Ireland during January or Febuary? looking for a half marathon or ten miler. Looking for a warmup run for the Conemarathon.

    Normally 10 miler in Mallow 2nd sunday in Jan and dungarvan 10 miler first sunday in feb(great race)
    Raheny 5 end of jan. 5 miler in kilmachtohomas end of feb as is 10km in enniscorthy. Buy the irish runner mAGAZine at xmad with all the dates. Tick em off. No halfs in jan or feb.

    If you willing to look further afield there a great very flat half in torreveja (only manages to get 2m above sea level) on the 28th of Feb. good for time however dunno whether flat is what you want if you doing Conemara

    i have a couple of weeks off in Janaury and hoping to inculde a full on them, any one know where might be good ? home or abroad in the start to middle of the month .

    While not a race, I know that Athenry organise a day out where they get the bus out and do the race run or some of it. Might be a great way to get some practice in. And they're a brilliant club, I don't know if you're near Galway/Athenry but it might be worth joining them next year.

    The Athenry 10k on Stephens Day is always a lovely event.

    The Genk marathon and half-marathon are on Sunday 10th of January, did the half in Jan 08 very well organised and good value.
