I recently brought back a 02 911 trubo from england. I'm living in the south of ireland. I know that porsche garages are overpriced for services have I got a choice in ireland.

    many thanks

Ask porscheclubireland.ie, or if you are near Dublin try Barry Whelan motors

I use Barry Whelan, I find him good and not too expensive.

I wouldn't let Barry Whelan service a bicycle.

I had numerous problems with him and his "can't do attitude" is appauling. He's suppossed to be very good on the high performance cars for racing but you get the feeling that he's not really interested in older cars.

Plus you can always judge a garage by how clean it is. I'd recommend taking the car to Belfast. The current labour rates are £25 per hour and the standard of work is worth the travel

If you bought an 02 turbo then you should have no problem paying Porsche Dublin Prices
,I always found them fairly good when i used to get my Porsche serviced there and unless you have main dealer History on a Porsche expecially a turbo it will be pretty much unsellable

Theres a mechanic in cork called Des Golden who my brother and father use. According to them he is one of the best. Im sure he is probably findable via Google as I dont have a number to hand. If not pm me and I will get his number from them.
