Unless you've played a Mario and Luigi game on the DS, that heading will make no sense.

They've knocked it out of the park with Mario and Luigi: Bowsers Inside Story. Its funny, addictive, looks beautiful, and it never fails to surprise me or make me laugh.

On the down side, its similar-ish to the other 2 M&L games (same powerups - hammer, tornado jump, digging), but if it ain't broke.... Plus it's not very difficult (but skill will go a long way). Its a long long game too (not JRPG long, but I reckon I'm not even at the half way point).

You just want to keep playing to see what happens next - you just don't know what is around the next corner. Love love love this game.

Its out in the States, and out here on the 9th October. Easily up in my top 5 DS games of all time.

I heard it also has quite possibly the best 2D animation since SF3 3rd Strike.

Loved Partners in Time, so looking forward to this one. Think it shows Nintendo at their best when I and my 6 year old daughter considered it one of their favourite games.

My 7 year old agrees with you, wholeheartedly lol. He is having a great time with it. I am waiting to get my hands on it:D

Is it really that good? I'm not a fan of turn based battles and never played the originals but can't ignore the brilliant reviews its getting

Turn based battles in Final Fantasy etc. bore me to tears.
In this game (and the 2 previous M&L games), its all skill based (timed button presses).
You still have to heal etc. but I haven't seen a game over screen once.

Stop playing Final Fantasy and play a good RPG like Persona then. Turn based is far better than real ti,e in RPGs when done right.

I was just using it as an example, Retr0gamer.

Now that I think about it, I think what pisses me off about turn based battles is not the battles themselves, its random encounters - walk 2 steps, battle. Walk another 2 steps, battle. Walk 3 steps, whoopee, another battle. F**k off and let me play the bloody game, will you? :)

    Must check out persona....

This game is GOTY for me.

It doesn't do any amazing graphically tricks (though it looks superb) or reinvent the wheel but it just has this huge amount of charm that makes it a joy to play.

Bowser is so much fun to play. He is a big stupid thug but you love him for it. Especially how he laughs at everything.

I can't say too much or i'll ruin the jokes for people who have yet to play it, but this game is defo worth the €35 I paid in HMV.

Best game this year on the DS anyway (until Zelda in a fortnight !!!)
On the section in the castle (kind of weird playing through
Peach's castle with the typically dark final world music you get in a mario game!)

If only I wasn't so desperately poor. Loved the first one, thought the second one was good but was missing something.

This is one of the best globins on the DS. Play it or cry forever!

(Love the dialogue in this game ;))
