How does everyone update their various receivers ? I ask this as nearly all laptops sold in this day and age dont have RS 232 connections. Do people use the cable with USB on one end the 232 on the other. Confused

I use my internet router. It is super fast. I also use rs232 when/if the box won't boot at all.

I've used the USB-RS232 dongle thing in the past, though usually now, I just install from USB pendrive.

I find some of the guys in Peats to be total idiots. Some of them dont know there stuff at all. Two of the last three times I have bought stuff in there I had to return to the shop because of their wrong advice. I took them at their word on both occasions even though I had doubts at the time that I was right in what I was thinking and they were wrong but took there their word for it as its their job and they should know their stuff. Maplins seems to me to have better informed staff.
