It is a shame teams can come and go in this sport unlike soccer which get bunted down divisions.

But who is your team you follow - I have only listed this year's teams.

    I'm a Toyota fan - who's your team?

Poll is visible....and it's more for the team and not the driver. please try and keep this one on topic!

Same as Grim. Was a Schumacher fan...then followed to Ferrari and have stayed with them. I do like Massa and I will appreciate the Massa-Alonso partnership next year. Think they have dropped off as a powerhouse recently (stupid pitstop errors / malfunctions, tactics gone awry, etc) but still follow.

I have only gotten back into the sport this year after not watching it for about 2 or 3 years. I like Vettel and Webber partnership whch is why I said Red Bull.

Also have a soft spot for Force India

without taking it off topic...too far :p
its the drivers that should be followed, the teams come and go in this current climate and are fickle, the drivers are the ones who need supporting, that said I have a lot of respect for Alonso and a select few, and dont follow any teams as such.

Ha, I'm the same as you guys but maybe a bit older! I watched Schumacher win in 94 and 95 and since then I've been a Benetton/Renault fan. Waited a long time before Alonso came to win the championship again. I think when Schumacher left for Ferrari we got Jean Alesi and Gerhard Berger who were a cracking partnership with Ferrari so I stayed with the team rather than following Michael.

The Alex Wurz/Jenson Button years were a bit tough but Alonso was magic when he came through. He'll do very well for Ferrari. I enjoy the sport and didn't really have a preference between McLaren/Ferrari when they were winning every other race, but Renault has always been the team I've been drawn to and I'll look out for first.

first race i remember watching was Adelaide 1994 was only 7 at the time though

supported schumacher at Benetton aswell but i kinda just drifted to Ferrari when schumi went there and have supported them since.

Same as a lot of posters, followed Ferrari since Schuey went there and stayed with them after he left.

If he came back now and drove for a different team not sure how I'd feel.

well, seeing all these Ferrari supporters it is now obvious how much their presence in the sport affects the following of the sport. And this reason is probably why they have a veto over rule changes, get paid more in terms of agreements with FOM/FOA (whichever one makes the payments).

iv been wathching the sport and supporting mclaren since 98. i suppose i started to support them because the mclaren f1 road car is my fave of all time, silly reason i know but i havent looked back since and my support gets stronger every year. just on the driver thing i just let the drivers come and go team for me.

    Brawn GP.

My getting interested in the sport coincided with Honda's return...I just loved the team and its history in the sport so supported them ever since. I like Button a lot and so Brawn was a natural choice.

Im also a huge Raikkonen fan and love to see him doing well. If Brawn dont win I generally like to see Ferrari doing well as again they have a great history and the enthusiasm of the Tifosi is so infectious (having said that I never liked Schumi and always rooted against him:p).

I used to be a huge Schumacher fan, but at the Belgian GP last year I bought a Force India sweat shirt and altough it got some funny looks Ive supported them since, so you can imagine how I felt when they got pole at Spa this year!

I was at Nurburgring this year as seen them get so close to those first points!, I was also at Monza this year and seen Sutil finish 4th, I was clad in my Force India t-shirt and hat and felt so proud to support a team that had come from the bottom to being a consistent points scorer! Roll on Suzuka! I really think they can catch Renault and BMW in the constructors championship.

Ferrari since 1995, a striking red car will attract a five year olds attention.

Always liked Hakkinen though, he and schumi really brought the best out of each other imo...

Also did the following Schumi to Ferrari thing, but had a bit of a soft for them before that, I like to see Vettel do well, so I'm a bit of a Red-Bull fan too.

I always loved Minardi and Jordan so I have a soft spot for Force India and always like to see Ferrari do well but not dominate.

Really though, I don't have a set team as such because I like to see Toyota do well too!

More of a driver follower than a team follower.

    Alonso all the way!

Edit: If Jordan where still there then i would have chosen them.

Always been a Schumacher and McLaren fan. Before Schumi it was Prost.

Now, I'm still a fan of Schumi and Prost, but have lost respect for McLaren big time. Besides I can't stand Hamilton. Never have and probably never will like Ferrari. Red Bull is kinda growing on me...

Lifelong Ferrari fan. First ever car I saw on TV during an F1 race and I'm still glued to 'em.

Since Jordan sold out I don't support any particular team over another. I'd be much more interested in the drivers.

I am a live long Ferrari fan - the earliest I remember were the days of the great Niki Lauda, I was very young but do remember my Dad and brother discussing him - I was in Italy and remember well when Gilles Villeneuve was killed at Imola - it was like a death in our family !

I remember crying when Jean Alesi won his first GP - I was a huge fan of his on track antics - ( I was also rather drunk as it was the Canadian GP - so a bit later in the evening :D )

Enjoyed every minute of the Schuey years bar the 99 season when I was living in the US - I was fairly disappointed when he broke his leg and distraught when Eddie Irvine failed to do it for us.

Still follow it today - but not as big a fan, the super high down force and ultra grippy tyres make me wish the old days of super powerful low grip cars were back - the turbo era - those drivers had balls of steel !

My biggest regret is Senna never drove for Ferrari. That would have been the ultimate for me.

Brawn this year as they are under dogs and I like Red Bull but really only because of the drivers.

Support Toyota because I drive on and I like the companies attitude to things although not impressed with their venture into F1 so far.

I don't support Ferrari or Mclaren but if I had to pick one it would be Ferrari. I don't like Mclaren's attitude, they come across as cold. It reflects on my attitude in general though that I won't support whats popular just to be different lol.
