Has anyone ever just set off travelling and find some completely new life or changed career path because of it? I would love to hear any stories?

Would ya ever just book a flight and get out of here?!

You seem to have more ideas, RTW trip, back to college, America, Canada, emigrating. Just book a flight and go!

Found a new life but not a new career, but you never know.

didnt really set off travelling but my life was changed significantly after my first working trip to america

i have 4 days left on my second and cannot wait to come back again already if i wasnt at college i would probably be here full time working in an industry i never even knew existed until two years ago

Travel has changed the way i view situations and has changed my perceptions on things - this however may have happened if i stayed at home also.

I've learned a lot about myself that i hadnt realised / wanted to realize.

Travel has taught me a lot about my patience, my independance and my ambitions. Its developed my social skills and awareness of my surroundings. Its made me appreciate the little things all the more. Its given me a sense of achievement, pride and accomplishment.

I leaned how to react to different situations in different ways, by taking a step back and viewing the bigger picture (never used to do this before)

I have had friends go travelling and came back the exact same so the only way you'll know if it will change you is to go experience it for yourself! You'll find out soon enough!! :)

Actually looking back at previous post from the OP you sound very familiar to another poster who kept asking the same questions but never answered a question himself.

I don't know what you guys are talking about. I learned nothing from travelling except from the fact that Australia and New Zealand kick Irelands ass (scenery wise and people wise) and the fact that there are way more poor people than you think !
