Speeding Fine

Can anyone help me with this query? I have received a Fixed Charge Offence Speeding fine in the post. The issue is that my name and part of the address are incorrect on the notice even though I gave the Guard my Driving licence when I was stopped and he noted the details from it.

I rang up the fixed charge processing office in Thurles and the person that I spoke with advised that I could not pay the fine due to the incorrect details and that I would have to contact the Superintendent at the station from which the fine originated from.

Can anyone advise what the procedure will be? Will they will re-issue me with a new speeding fine or would there be a chance that they would cancel the fine as they sent out the fine to an incorrect name and address? Thanks

You have no chance of it being cancelled, same thing happened me earlier this year. Solicitor said they will just re issue it with the correct details.
