    Hi,

I am not working now since March and I am thinking of dong the Healthcare Assistant Traineship with FAS. I am currently doing a evening course one night a week on Special Needs. What I am wondering is, how long do you spend in FAS during the week. Is it 5 full days?? For my evening course I have to complete 30 hours work experience and I am wondering if I would be able to do both courses, ie would i have time during the week to do a few hours work experience for my evening class.

Also, I am thinking of going back to college next year to do nursing and will be hoping to get the BTEA, would doing a FAS course stop me from getting the BTEA or would my time spent at FAS still contribute to the time needed.

    Thanks

    Sorry for all the questions

If you're not getting any answers here, I'd say your best bet would be to ring your local FAS office and make an appointment to talk to them. They'll answer all your questions for you.
