Does anybody know the difference between the 2 modems? Read on the VF site the upload is only 384kbps where as the 1752 is supposedly 5mbps is this true? Thanks

The modem is capable, the networks are not. Even when the networks do upgrade, it'll be phased, and not available everywhere.

Just get the cheapest modem, you won't ever get the speed they quote anyway, so don't waste money on a pipe-dream.
