xnk are links to public folders on an exchange server, If you could clarify a little, where you infact connected to an M$ exchange server? If not I wouldn't worry about the XNK files. Have you managed to get your mail onto your mac yet?

Thanks its my old email that i put on my ex hardrive it was on a pc & this mac will not open them, i thought that with microsoft entourage would be able to view them.

were you using Outlook or Outlook Express?

There are a couple of ways to do it, using IMAP accounts and syncing the mac client with it, or you could go back to your PC and export your mail to either .eml files or MBOX files then reimport them onto the mac.

As I said the XNK files are only links to a public folder on an exchange server which I presume you didn't have.
