Blacknight are doing cheap domains again .mobi being the ones to probably interest people :) I got mine :D

.mobi for 6.75 .. the .im for I think 4.95
(think the .mobi's are normally costing double that and the .im's are a good bit more)

I'm getting a bit of interest from people for .mobi development these days so if you've got the .com / .ie I'd say get the .mobi as well can't hurt to protect your brand

I've installed the .mobi wordpress plugin http://mobiforge.com/running/story/the-dotmobi-wordpress-mobile-pack (I think thats the url) on a few sites ... its quick to do and the end results are nice enough I've not had that much time to play at creating that much custom stuff just yet though

    Edit: wrong link

If you find any decent mobile CMS please let me know! I've been looking as well.
There are a few plugins for Wordpress, Joomla, Typo3 and other CMS, but the actual site builders I've seen were a bit underpowered

    3ix.org ftw!

Reliable enough for a personal site, not a commercial site.

At €13 a year for hosting + domain name registration / renewal, it can't be beat!

Unless you require Irish IP space which is a big plus in terms of SEO

    EDIT:

Also that lets you have 1 domain ? ... most of the bigger irish hosting plans let you have multiple domains on your account ... blacknight / reg365 / digiweb / letshost and so on

As I said.. it's good enough for cheap and cheery personal hosting.. and that's about it! ;)

Worth it even for the webspace (40GB) to keep some of my files on.

If you want to sync files ... I'd probably say get drop box :)

http://www.getdropbox.com/ ... 2GBs for free is enough plus the auto sync is good too across most major platforms (linux / mac / windows) and they just released a iphone version :)

Course if you need 40gbs ... then I hope to god you've got some serious upload capabilites :)

Ah interesting but requires two active computers whereas dropbox gives you 2 gb personal space online that you can sync stuff with ... (anyways may be going slightly off topic :D )
