    Hi Guys,

Was wondering if anyone can give me some info pls. Now that Ryanair have pulled the route Dublin to Billund, I have to go through Stanstead now as the 'cheaper' :( option. As I have never been to that airport, does anyone know if there is a much of a distance from arrivals to connections - as I will be going dub-stn; stn-billund. ? Also is it easy to find ? I'm trying to time the flights so as not to have much of a wait in the aiport.

    Thanks for your help ;)

Stansted isn't that big an airport and is all on one level so when you exit arrivals, you are very close to the check in desks.

You won't be connecting though will you as i didn't think ryanair offered this facility? you will need to collect your luggage and check it in again. Although if you have checked in online before hand and only have hand luggage you just need to go straight back through security.

When you arrive at Stansted, keep your boarding pass with you as you will need to show this to avoid going through passport control.

Ryanair have a full page ad in some of today's papers advertising Dublin-Bilund and Legoland, so I think the route is alive and well.

    Thanks Steve O

I dont know what Ryanair are playing at to be honest...i saw that ad and they ran the same one late last week

Its ridiculous !..when accessing the Ryanair site, if you try to book a flight to Billund after 30 October, there is nothing available. It also says at the top of the page in red letters that the route ends on 30 October. I even went as far as calling the 'hotline' last week and a customer rep confirmed that they had pulled the route but didnt know why  very disappointing as my OH lives over there and Ryanair were the only carrier who flew directly to Billund..now it will take twice the money and twice the time...but sure we dont have any other option only to go through Stanstead or Birmingham..

    Thanks a lot Fred,

I didnt know that Ryanair dont offer connecting facilities..but as you say, its on the one level it should be ok...

If I understand you correctly...I have to come all the way out through arrivals and go through departures ?..roughly do you know how long this would take ?

sorry for all the questions im just trying to get it all sorted in my head so I can judge what's happening...also it is likely that my OH who is Danish will be making the trip before me and I want to make sure he has no hick ups along the way ;)

Probably not too dissimilar to landing at Pier D and taking off from Pier D to be honest, but without the queue at passport control. Maybe a bit quicker/shorter.

Exiting will be fairly quick, but as with Dublin, you could take 30minutes to get through security, it could be five depending on the time of day.

BTW, did you know BA fly there from London City Airport?
