I don't know if this has been posted, so apologies if I am repeating a thread.

The WLR Run for Life takes place on Sunday 18th October, in aid of the building of the Solas Cancer Support Centre, Waterford. Runner/Joggers/Walkers are asked to raise €250 each, for this worthy cause. Sponsorship cards are available in AIB branches in Waterford, and the WLR Broadcasting Centre, in Arkdeen.

Registration takes place from 12 - 17th October, at WLR and at AIB Dungarvan.

Can you run it on the day and pay say 20 euro. In this current climate i for one aint asking anyone for money. If thats the rule it will be a quiet day especially with DCM 8 days later. Ideal fro a marathon pace 10 miler though.

    No,Pre-registration from 12th to 17th i think.
There will be big numbers doing, just not to many racing it.
I did it last year aswell, only a couple of runners under 60 minutes.
    All about the cancer fundraising.
Last year they wanted 500 a head,i know some people who got 40/50 and they accepted that and gave them an entry.

As per my reply to VR,they ask for you to get 250,but will accept anything reasonable,i would say, thats the way it was last year.

Starts at the millenium plaza on the Quay, from there up to Tom Murphy at the Ramada hotel, left then all the way over to the hospital, left down Passage road, right down alphonsus road, right over to dunmore road, finish at the peoples park.

The Solas Centre have said that they will accept any amount of money, no matter how small, so don't be put off by the €250. I'll edit my original message.
