Legal preventative measures to prevent illegal redistribution

Selling eBook PDF's on CD's and to help in reducing the possibility of illegal redistribution of these PDF's I will be imprinting the name and address of each person who places an order for one on the bottom on each page within the eBook as well as placing an individual password onto each eBook which is provided inside the case - is there anything illegal with using these two methods? It will be stated on the website that this will be done for copyright protection and that if you disagree with either of these they are advised not to purchase the CD's. Selling them as PDF's is the only possible format.

I am sorry, but the above text is a little hard to comprehend.

If you are asking if there is anything wrong with a mode of sale, such as eBooks with some form of distiller or password/encryption. Then the answer is no, nothing wrong with that.

Sorry if difficult to understand -

    - selling eBooks that are loaded onto CDs
    - eBooks are given in PDF format
    - want to protect the PDF's from illegal distribution
    - putting the name and address of the buyer at the bottom of each PDF when purchased
    - putting an access password on each PDF purchased (pasword provided inside the actual CD case that is sent in the post)

Anything wrong with password or imprinting buyers name on every PDF?

    Thanks

No - I think that Adobe Digital Editions does this and there is a fairly straightforward terms and conditions schedule on the click through contract that users consent to before use.

Thanks for the advice - was fairly sure there was no issue as it still allows people to make a spare copy of the material if they wish but it is still traceable if i find it being spread around a torrent type site.
