My gf has just got insured on my car and wants to go practising. I dont want to throw her into the deep end by going into the city so would like to know of any car parks/areas which are good to practice in? She has never been on the road before! We live in Dublin 7.

head up the ballymun road and go down collins avenue. take the last left before the M1, called Larkhill road. The Larkhill Boys School there has a massive car park. you can see it on google maps

I'm moving this to Learning to Drive, you should get a better response there.

I'd say the Phoenix Pk is probably your best bet, is she going to take driving lessons with an ADI?

The causeway in Dollymount is always full of learners trundling along. It would be good until she can actually get it going, then industrial estates on Sundays.
