Just wondering what software package do people (solicitors) use to keep track of the bills, and more importantly client money.

Is there any law society approved software that doesn't need Microsoft Windows?

We have Harvast Law, the Law Society have no problem with it. Not sure if it works without windows though.

Not a lawyer, but I use sage and I have noticed that it has preset configurations for law offices.

I used to use Keyhouse, but based on my experience with them would not recommend them. My accountant wanted me to use Harvest and I was quickly sorry I didn't. I preferred Keyhouse because it also has that element of document management- produces letters for you etc. But realistically if you had any knowledge of computers and the software packages that are the norm- excel and windows- you could easily reproduce the document management system that I had for free. The package I had also didn't do bank reconciliation! So I had to do it manually- horror of horrors.
